My parents, my son and I had a great cruise experience and I would recommend HAL to anyone looking for a cruise vacation!

Cons:  Handicapped access and assistance really needs improvement

 Sorry Sailing    10 Day/Night Eastern Caribbean
I just finished my ten-day cruise aboard the Noordam. This was my 8th cruise. I went with my Mother, who was a Holland lover, and my sister. Beween all of us we have sailed over 20 times. All of us were very surprised on the lack of service.
Pros:  Luggage quick arrival, beautiful ship
Cons:  Service very poor, food selection poor

 Cruising with Holland America    7 Day/Night Alaska
The Alaska cruise was our second cruise with Noordam and our seventh cruise with Holland America.
Pros:  Fantastic, attentive, and personalized service. Comfortable cabins, smooth sailing ship. Excellent food choices and quality in main dining room and Lido restaurant, great and efficient room service. Excellent meals in Pinnacle Grill.
Cons:  Pricey "cover charge" for Pinnacle Grill, but excellent meals. Casino and sports bar full of cigarette and cigar smoke. Long, long way from aft cabins to entertainment and shopping venues. Overpriced shore excursions.
